Last week, I wrote that astrology becomes “complicated to track because the astrological new year is in March at the beginning of Aries Season, we use a Gregorian calendar for our daily planner vibes, the sun travels around the zodiac at the earth’s pace of 365.25 days, and the moon has lapped the sun’s 13.28 times, so you really have to be invested in sifting through the celestial appointment book.” And I know some of you are HERE for it! So I wanted to give you some exercises to support you in getting started so that you can build an interpersonal relationship with the astrological bodies. When one starts to be interested in Astrology, the moon is a great place to start paying attention because its journey around the zodiac happens so fast you can collect the most comprehensive data quickly. The moon literally produces data faster than a fruit fly has a lifespan. And there are a couple of storylines in the grand screenplay that we call life that you can track easily with some awareness of the moon.
Tapping into Intuition and Energy
Every 2.4 days, you can observe mood changes, the ebbs and flows in intuition, successes and challenges to routine, productivity, or emotions. Then you can compile that every 29.5 days to get a comprehensive look at your life cycle, a zoomed-out approach to your daily behavior to produce balance over a cycle rather than in a day. The Moon is such an excellent tool for this because it supports your intention twofold; it is your intuition and mother placement in your chart, so it supports you beyond what the eye can see while simultaneously being there in the sky for you to observe its changes in local and waxing and waning cycles.
When I started this, I took my good ol’ Gregorian calendar and turned to the weekly spreads and wrote the Zodiac signs next to the day’s date. Each day I wrote:
A couple of words about how I felt.
I wrote my to-done list (my favorite 'cause this perfectionist loves a good measure of success lol).
If I experienced some sort of knowing, like gut intuition.
What that felt like or an awareness of where it came from.
How I allowed it to guide my decision-making for the day.
Here is a schedule to get you started if you start immediately with today’s blog posted on April 28th, 2024.

Every 6 months
Every 6 months, you have an opportunity to witness manifestation and releasing cycles. By seeing new moon energy bring in and full moons complete their releases. Let me tell you one of my favorite observations of this. I have a friend who started to make plans around her business at the new moon in Leo back in August. After she hemmed and hawed over this move and all its implications, she unwittingly implemented the plans in January with the Full moon in Leo. And you can observe this type of storyline 12 times, y’all! Go back into your journals and see what you were up to! And if you don’t have old journals, start writing, if not for this, so you can look back and be proud of who you are despite your tools in this human experience! Here is the chart I gave you last week. You can see the patterns of Cancerian Moon energy always showing up during Capricorn season and Cap energy always being addressed in Cancer season and so on and so forth as the months go by.
Sun Season/New Moon | Full Moon |
Capricorn | Cancer |
Aquarius | Leo |
Pisces | Virgo |
Aries | Libra |
Taurus | Scorpio |
Gemini | Sagittarius |
Cancer | Capricorn |
Leo | Aquarius |
Virgo | Pisces |
Libra | Aries |
Scorpio | Taurus |
Sagittarius | Gemini |
Eclipses
When you feel capable of adding eclipses to your data and creating an even longer storyline, you can witness eclipses happening in Solar and Lunar pairs every 5.8 months. They begin their story at a later degree on the chart and then gradually progress out of that narrative over the course of the next 2 years, allowing a scene in your life to unfold every 5.8 months. As you can see in the excerpt here (an Eclipse Table from cafeastrology.com), eclipse season starts with a teeter-totter of eclipses moving back and forth in perfect balance almost like an ecliptic cusp, then anchoring in a pivotal year with the eclipses mirroring each other across the zodiac, and finally shifting back again by backpedaling into the previous sign to start a new story with that same cusp like seesaw.

I chose this section of the chart because I witnessed such a profound story unfold in my life. Taurus represents my 10th house of careers, and in November of 2021, I unwittingly gave notice at my teaching job during eclipse season. Scorpio signifies my 4th house of home, family, and emotional needs, and I have watched a fascinating story of self discovery unfold! Moving forward into this activated Aries/Libra storyline, I am experiencing changes in houses that include publishing, expansion, innovative ideas, and ASTROLOGY! You know, the basic storyline of all that is the Alchemy & Art body of work.
You can't make this stuff up! But you can take the time to observe it, and very few people do. More often than not people find a way to negate it. However, I predict we are headed in a direction where more and more people will believe to see instead of needing to seeing to believe. I can’t wait! If you want a teammate to help you excavate your chart, looking forwards or backwards, I would love to be the astrologer on your team! I love you all so much!
XOXO Peace

You CANNOT make this stuff up! Love the examples and realizations of how things sometimes seem to take a frustratingly long time in bearing fruit but another way to consider it is that intentions and plans all just need time to cycle and settle into place.
